Throughout the academic year, we welcome boys and girls into our Primary and Senior schools, secure that each student will settle into his or her new surroundings with considerable ease. Admission is difficult and very
competitive and those who wish to join Alethea must inquire from the school about vacancies well ahead of the closing date for applications. This information can be obtained by telephone or email.
For each prospective student, an admissions form must be completed by his or her parents. Parents can either download the form or collect a form from the General Office. The form has to be handed over to the General Office along with Rs. 500/-
The school also requires the following documents:
• A current photograph of the student.
• A copy of the student's most recent school report.
To help ascertain the standard and suitability of each applicant, all prospective students are required to sit an entrance test (Mathematics & English).
In addition to meeting all parents, the Head of School personally interviews all applicants to discuss their interests and answer any questions they may have about the school. Parents are informed of the school's decision within two working days.

Education Resource Unit
This unit is managed by two qualified teachers; Mrs. Nilu Jeevaratnam and Ms. Samantha Van Vyck. Most of the students facilitated by this section are from the Primary. Parents are very satisfied with the work done in this section and there is a constant demand to accommodate new entrants who we have to turn down due to non-availability of space and our own decision to keep classrooms small to maintain a good student teacher ratio where most of the time teaching is done on a one to one basis.
